Based in Bath, our creative crew work on a range of commercial design and build projects, from bespoke office fit-outs to multi-million pound building refurbishments. Not only in the South West, but across the whole of the UK.

Gary Duguid

Gary Duguid
About
As Commercial Director, Gary heads up the Project Lead and Creative teams in unpacking an organisation’s cultural aspirations and translating them into successful workplaces. Gary’s extensive design and build knowledge enables him to cut to the heart of a brief; a process which invariably involves challenging both the client and his team to ensure Interaction creates a perfectly bespoke workspace for every project, whilst always delivering value.
Experience
Gary joined Interaction’s design team shortly after gaining a BA Hons in Interior Architecture. Twenty years later, Gary has enjoyed working on a diverse array of projects of differing sizes across all sectors. He leads key accounts, ensuring their workplaces remain progressive and compelling enough to attract and retain the best talent. Gary’s recent highlights include creating a unique workplace for Sun Life in Bristol and Frome Business Park, a Cat A and Cat B development of an attractive and sustainable 90,000 sq ft co-working space.

Relationships Director
Hayley Blacker

Hayley Blacker
About
Exploring and developing relationships is second nature to Hayley. As a consummate networker, Hayley is responsible for managing Interactions relationship with the business community, keeping her finger on the pulse of the state of the market and identifying trends, changes and challenges before they arise. Hayley works hand-in-hand with clients from the first point of contact, ensuring there’s open lines of communication and accountability throughout their engagement with Interaction.
Experience
Hayley has had over twenty years’ experience in the sector, having been with Interaction for most of that time. Hayley is often involved at the early stages of complex projects, which have included the 20,000 sq ft Verisk Maplecroft site in Bath and The Guinness Trust in Milton Keynes.

An expert in understanding the impact of design and space on culture and organisations, Dieter is ultimately responsible for understanding our client’s vision and translating that into a thriving workspace.
Experience
Dieter has over 20 years’ experience in the sector and has worked on a broad spectrum of projects in the commercial and leisure industries. His experience spans project and site management, workspace consultancy and business development.

Deborah Wilder

Deborah Wilder

Deborah leads Interaction’s consultancy proposition, driven by her passion for creating healthy, sustainable people-centric workplaces. Deborah’s analytical approach gets to the heart of an organisation’s needs and ambitions. An expert in quantitative and qualitative fieldwork, Deborah makes data-driven recommendations which impact employee retention, creativity and wellbeing. Deborah’s keen interest in the future and meaning of work informs her strategic output, ensuring it’s both practical, effective and long-term.
Experience
With a BSc in Psychology with Occupational Psychology and an MSc in Health Psychology, followed by positions in both academia and in a variety of public and private sector organisations, Deborah takes a ‘pracademic’ approach to her work. Deborah stays at the forefront of research into changing workplace behaviours across all sectors, with an emphasis on workplace technology and, recently, work from home strategies.

As Project Lead, Hannah is responsible for supporting clients throughout their project from appointment to aftercare. She leads and coordinates the internal and external project team to deliver perfection at pace. Hannah thrives on interaction and earning a trusting relationship with her clients and won’t shy from challenging a brief.
Experience
Hannah launched her interiors career in 2014 as part of the Interaction Project Management Academy. She has been key in the success on delivery of many fast-track and complex projects, and now uses her technical experience to ensure the build is thoughtfully considered in the early stages of design, providing a smooth transition between planning and delivery. Recent project highlights include a complicated multi-floor, in-occupation refurbishment for TLT LLP, sustainability focused fit-outs on behalf of Netflix, Alliance Homes, and Good Energy and a progressive campus scheme with Openwork.

Toby Brown

Toby Brown

An experienced media and marketing professional, Toby spearheads Interaction’s marketing output. He’s passionate about creating brilliant content, encouraging creativity and enabling brilliant workplace culture. Outside of work hours you can find him playing 30% too noisily with his two children, hoarding vinyl, listening to inappropriate music, droning on about his time as a stand-up comedian and trying to age gracefully.
Experience
Toby has been in the advertising, marketing and media world for over 15 years, having worked on some of the world’s biggest brands at the UK’s leading agencies and publishers. He’s an experienced marketing strategist with a passion for creativity, clear-thinking and practice over theory.

Paul Haskins

The original Actioneer and the founder of Interaction, Paul drives our philosophy; that the workspace is a powerful tool that should drive business success by creating a place in which people thrive.
Experience
A structural engineer by trade, Paul was inspired to found Interaction by a belief that the best projects are a blend of creativity, passion and a relentless desire for perfection, a view that hasn’t wavered to this day.

Business Systems Manager
Mike Borne

Mike Borne

A natural problem solver and 80% powered by pasties, Mike loves scaling things; mainly mountains, but also Interaction’s Business Systems, which help us deliver what we call Perfection at Pace. Mike’s analytic nature helps us constantly refine and optimise our systems and processes, ensuring we’re constantly firing on all cylinders.
Experience
Mike joined Interaction almost straight from University, (where he qualified in Aerospace Engineering), after an exciting summer spent as an intern at Rolls Royce, where his main job was to stress-test Typhoon engines. It was there he picked up an interest in workplace dynamics, leading him to join Interaction as a graduate Project Manager. Mike worked his way up to a Senior Project Manager, running projects such as Frome Business Park, before becoming our Business Systems manager – a perfect role for someone obsessed with constant improvement and performance optimisation.

Don’t let his no-nonsense exterior fool you – Mike’s favourite flower is a rose, as they’re highly demanding to grow but worth the effort. What’s more, Mike used to show miniature daschunds. He’s even been to Crufts!
Experience
Mike has been in the trade since he was 18. A Building Surveyor by training, he earned his qualifications while working 4 days a week onsite. He moved began to specialise in contract management in 2012, and joined Interaction in early 2020. Mike loves working on complex projects for forward-thinking clients, having overseen the design and build of various communication hubs and laboratory projects for the likes of Motorola, Hewlett Packard, The Bank of Kuwait and BritVic.
