A sleek new fit-out for SafeHR.

SafeHR, a part of Alcumus, had an old workspace that no longer met their needs and needed upgrading. Relocating to the first floor of Bath’s St James House, they aimed for a sleek, modern office that would seamlessly support their hybrid team. We delivered just that.

Flexible, communal and contemporary

Designing a modern workplace

SafeHR had three key priorities for their new space: flexibility, community focus, and a contemporary feel.

Flexibility is at the core of the design, offering a range of workspaces to suit everyone’s needs and preferences, catering to those on a hybrid schedule. Employees can choose from traditional desks, private focus rooms, focus pods, or larger meeting rooms. The open-plan desk area has room for future expansion, allowing SafeHR to add more desks as they grow.

Fostering a sense of community and reducing siloing was also crucial. We incorporated a large teapoint and kitchen area to encourage employees to take breaks, catch up over coffee, or enjoy lunch together. Multiple soft seating breakout spaces serve as informal meeting areas or client reception spaces as needed.

Echoing SafeHr’s personality, we made sure the space felt modern and professional. The design features SafeHR’s signature blue, paired with soft neutrals for a calm and welcoming environment. Curved meeting room walls add softness to the space, while glass partitions allow the natural light to flow. Large windows and ample greenery bring the outside in, ensuring a light and bright office.

The teapoint and kitchen area offers staff a place to come together, build community and take a break from their desks.
