Regency glamour meets contemporary coworking
Runway East, one of the UK’s fastest-growing coworking providers, has landed in Bath – marking our 13th project together following previous spaces in London, Brighton and Birmingham. The brief was to create a welcoming, community-focussed workspace that felt rooted in the city’s heritage.
On both floors, a standout breakout space forms the social heart of the workspace, encouraging members to connect and build the community Runway East is known for. Across the site, there are serviced offices in a range of sizes to suit growing teams, alongside bookable meeting rooms, phone booths for focused work, and informal spaces like the library – ideal for relaxed catchups and impromptu meetings.
Georgian-era inspiration runs throughout the design, from wallpapers that echo regency landscape oil paintings to a circulation layout modelled on Bath’s historic promenades. Flooring patterns tell their own story: one level features a half-moon design referencing Bath’s famous Royal Crescent, while another includes a circular motif inspired by the Circus.
Our designers incorporated traditional features, but with a distinctly Runway East twist. Ceiling roses appear not overhead, but on the walls – half painted in yellow, whilst the boardroom pairs classic timber panelling with an electric blue table. Yellow framing on internal windows adds a contemporary and playful edge.
Original artwork by local artist Ursula Pache help connect the space to Bath’s creative community. It’s a workspace that looks and feels like Bath – but with the energy, colour and connection that Runway East brings to every location.

Design Features
The spaces oozes regency glamour – wall panelling, crown moulding, ceiling roses, and the gorgeous oil painting-style wallpapers which are unique to every room. Meeting rooms are named after iconic Bath sites and areas, and in true Runway East fashion, there’s a dash of humour too – framed doorknockers come with a cheeky sign: “hands off my knockers”.
