Redefining workspace design with Ecosurety
Embarking on their most ambitious office transformation, Ecosurety, a packaging compliance company partnered with Interaction to create a space that represents their innovative and sustainable mission. As a fellow B Corp company, Ecosurety proved to be an ideal partner, sharing the Interaction values and passion for creating impactful and environmentally friendly spaces.
Located on the second floor of 4 Colston Avenue, the project is part of a larger initiative to refurbish the building with ambitious environmental aspirations to improve sustainability, performance and contribute to biodiversity in Bristol’s city centre.
The result is Ecosurety’s stunning 7,000 sq ft workspace that seamlessly integrates the natural world into the heart of the city. Featuring thoughtfully designed biomes inspired by nature, the space reflects Ecosurety’s mission to champion environmental sustainability and employee wellbeing.
Sustainability and staff wellbeing were at the heart of this design project. It fed into every aspect including the materials we used and the plants we integrated into the design.

Biomes built for focus and collaboration
Connection with nature
Ecosurety’s new office design is built around the concept of creating eco zones that encourage movement, collaboration and a connection to the natural world. Split across two wings, the workspace was reimagined to prevent siloed working by introducing three unique biomes, each tailored to support different work styles and moods.
The Rainforest Biome is a lush, multisensory space brimming with greenery and plant life, creating a vibrant setting for socialising, eating and collaborative work. In contrast, the Marine Biome offers a calming atmosphere with its cool blue tones and sandy timbers, making it an ideal environment for team tasks. For focused, quieter work away from the buzz, the Savannah Biome provides a still and serene retreat, with warm tones, deep-rooted plants and a grounding ambiance.
The biomes not only align with Ecosurety’s mission to connect data, policy and the environment but also reflects a commitment to inclusivity and flexible working. Interaction were able to reuse 99% of the furniture from Ecosurety’s old office and through careful material choices this project achieved a SKA Gold rating for sustainability, awarded by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
Design Features
Details that matter.
Ecosurety’s recent rebrand celebrates the fusion of nature and data, a vision beautifully embodied in the work of local artist Rose Vickers, whose intricate pieces crafted from recycled school rulers symbolise the connection between precision, creativity and sustainability. In the office space sofas were made from leftover corks from the wine industry and custom acoustic paneling in the savannah spaces offers soundproofing, making them perfect for confidential calls.
